Delete old eBay information to make Jumble Saler run faster and to keep the database small

One of our beta test comanies have 13,000 active eBay listings plus historical data on listings going back several years.  Overtime Jumble Saler can start to slow down as information is stored until physically deleted.

This screen has options to remove old information to speed up Jumble Saler and keep the database smaller.  You are advised to compact the database as well when after data has been removed.

There are the options:

Backup database - This will create a copy of your database as is, just in case there was a problem, so that you data is safe.

Compact database - The database has a size limit of 2Gb.  Compacting the database resized the database down smaller.  You may have just deleted say 20% of the Jumble Saler old auction records, so the database can be resized smaller as it doesn't need to store as much information.

Physically remove deleted manually created LOT auctions - Any new auctions you have created and then deleted are still in the system in case you would like to restore them.  This physically removed them from the database and their picture folders from your hard disk.  Items flagged as 'Sold' are NOT affected.  The idea is to store information on previous listings so that you can just copy them to create new ones.

Stock system - Physically remove deleted template auctions - If you use our COMICS or STOCK edition and mail merge auctions to eBay, then this removed deleted stock items created by templates.   If new stock is added then these stock auctions are just automatically re-created automatically.

Remove finished auction information - Any auctions that are finished, i.e. they are not Active or in the 'Unsold not relisted', are removed from the database along with their pictures.  Sometimes you will use 7 day auctions for your items and if they don't sell, you relist them, which means there are 2 auction records.  If you keep having to relist, then you will end up with lots of records for the same item.
