Preview of auctions that will be created with this mail merge

This shows you a preview of the auctions that will be created based on your mail merge rules.

You need to look at any errors by reviewing the auction titles.  The mail merge is only as good as the information that is available in the generic stock system.

Any red lines are have titles that exceed the maximum eBay title size, so you may have to alter your title template to make these fit better.  If you publish anyway, then any red line auctions will not be created.

Fixing errors

Your title is likely to be too long.  Your title is generated based on a template like:

<ISSUENAME> - <ISSUEDATE> <KEYISSUEDESC>

Beano comic issue #<ISSUENO><ISSUEVARIANT> - <ISSUEDATE>

Or something similar.   If you are using a long date format like:

11 May 2021                 (11 characters)

11 November 2021       (16 characters)

You may find your title is too long on the months like 'November' and 'September' which have more characters.  You can choose a shorter date format.  You should try to avoid '11/01/2021'  formatted dates if you are selling internationally.  In the US, this will be 01 November and in the UK it will be 11 January.    You can use our 'Auto-shorten dates' option to help with this.

If you are using other fields like <KEYISSUEDESC>, which is the 'Key issue description' it could simply be because the information is too long.  You could either alter the Key issue description from stuff like 'This is the first appearance of Big Bob', to '1st Big Bob', etc.

The title additional field, i.e. <TITLEADDITIONAL>, was set up so that you could add very short additional information next to items to be added to the title

<TITLEADDITIONAL> - The eBay title additional field
<ADDITIONAL1>       - The eBay additional 1 field
<MULTIADDITIONAL> - The eBay multi-listing additional field

<ISSUEVARIANT>      - Comics sometimes have different (variant) covers of the same issue number/date, like Variant 1 of 2, Variant 2 of 2, etc.  You can  also have two comics of the same issue, one including a free gift, and one without the free gift.  You can also use these for one-offs, such as an issue which is signed by a creator
