eBay auctions
When you have linked your eBay account to Jumble Saler, then use the
'Collect eBay listings' button to download your current eBay items for sale
into Jumble Saler. This may take a while the first time you do
this, especially if you have hundreds of listings. Jumble Saler
downloads all the images for the auctions as well, so that they can be
displayed when editing auctions, and you can also copy these to a local
folder if you have lost the original pictures.
The following are the options on this tab:
Collect eBay listings - Full collects all listings plus additional
information on sold and un-sold listings status. Information on
un-sold relisted and un-sold not relisted will be then identical to your
online eBay account. Quick just collects the active listings and
marks anything that is not active as unsold. Full downloads and makes
items as sold and splits the unlisted into 'unsold not relisted' and 'unsold
relisted'.
Edit item - Display the auction on the local computer and if you
change you have the option of sending the changes back to eBay.
End + move to stock - This is used when
moving auctions
from one eBay account to another or you can use this to send 'unsold not
relisted' to the 'New auction lots' system before you delete them online.
They can then be published again at some point in the future.
View online - This willl display your auction in your browser.
Note - If you have multiple accounts, you may want to use different browser
(Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, etc) for different eBay accounts,
so that you aren't constantly logging on and logging off. You
can go to 'eBay account maintenance' and double click each of your eBay accounts
to edit them. and
specifiy a default browser for each from the 'Main' tab, if required.
Unsold auctions
We can download un-sold auctions up to 60 days days old.
Creating new auctions and Buy-it-nows
See
Creating your first eBay
auction for a walk through of how to create your first auction lot in
Jumble Saler.
On this tab, you can also use the 'Copy to new' button to create a new
auction from an existing one.
"Arm chair" auctions - Sit in your arm chair watching TV and
research items on eBay and create draft auctions, then add your pictures
later
If you have a pile of items, like a box of odd books, you can sit and watch
telly and research each item. Sometimes, with the high price of
postage, some items are just not worth selling as individuals, so having a
research session makes sense. You can then either block up the low
value items together as a single eBay auction or send them to the local
charity shop.
Items that are worth selling individually, you can create your auction with
a price (either a start price or Buy it now price) and save your auction.
You can then add pictures at a later point. When you have clicked the
'Add new' button, then use our 'Copy auction' button to collect an auction
you have found on eBay, so that you can download the title, price, category
and
item specifics automatically to save
you time when creating your new auction.
After you have added your first auction, you can copy this as a template
before using the 'Copy auction'. That way you already have options
like auction type (buy it now or auction), delivery charge, delivery
service, whether or not you accept returns, etc, already filled in.
This also saves a lot of time.
If you are selling multiple copies of the same book, or other identical
items with possibly differences in condition, then use our LOT number
feature so that a different lot number is allocated to each of your auctions
automatically. You can then attach a label or piece of paper
with the lot number with item.
