Designer and player video types
August 2012 note - These settings only affect the
Video control. We now recommend using the new
Flash video control instead and you can convert your videos to Flash
free of charge using software such as
Free Studio. On
playing videos across multiple screens, then the
Flash video control is recommended.
Microsoft Windows 8, 7, Vista and XP are designed to run on an enormous variety of computers using hardware components from hundreds of
manufacturers. Every computer also has different
software and video codecs installed. In most cases, Jumble Saler will display video reliably and the AUTO video type will let Jumble Saler use the most appropriate video playing
technology for your computer. However in some cases, usually with computers that have multiple monitors, you may manually alter these settings to alter video playing problems.
Jumble Saler uses Windows Media Player to display your videos. There are several ways to access Windows
Media Player from a program such as Jumble Saler. Jumble Saler uses two ways:
TYPE ONE - This is very reliable single monitor system and Jumble Saler uses this by default when you only have 1 monitor connected to your computer. This can be used with
multiple monitors, but the video must be on completely on one of the monitors, and not spread between them, as the video on one side will appear black.
TYPE TWO - This allows the spreading of videos between multiple monitors. However,
intermittently a video may fail to play which is usually HD video when playing on the non-primary
monitor. In all cases, you should fully test Jumble Saler with your video files. This is used in the designer for designing presentations. However, the player may use the TYPE ONE
video technology in order to display the video if the video does not span multiple screens.
